Welcome to the Las Vegas Discographies.  Throughout the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s, prominent entertainers appeared in the Las Vegas showrooms and lounges every night of the year.  Performers as diverse as Noel Coward, Fats Domino, and Sonny and Cher released albums recorded live during Las Vegas engagements.  

While the entertainment industry in Las Vegas is well documented, specifics about the music that was performed and who was performing it are absent from the discussion.  The Las Vegas Discography Collection is an online resource that presents information in one location about musical activity in the Las Vegas showrooms and lounges between 1950 and 1980.  The discographies are intended as a starting point for researchers and historians. The present site consists only of discographies, but additional pages with more in-depth information about the house bands and the performers behind the headliners are planned as future enhancements.
